News of the death of Colin MacRae shocked even
those not familiar with motor racing. A family
man, and great ambassador for his sport, MacRae
seemed destined for a happy and productive life
beyond the track. Life, however, is rarely
predictable. In this instance, unfortunately,
the surprise was not a happy one. Colin MacRae`s
untimely death does though highlight the need to
embrace each and every day. For every race won,
there could be a life about to be lost or
disrupted. Above all else, Colin MacRae`s life
should be looked upon as a celebration of
achievement and passion. Anything less would be
doing the great mans memory a disservice. Rest
in peace champ.
